Abstract:

The paper aims to explore the content changes and stoichiometric characteristics of carbon, nitrogen and phosphorus in different organs of Sarcandra glabra, and to provide theoretical guidance for high-yield cultivation of S. glabra and scientific application of nitrogen and phosphorus fertilizer. Taking wild tending S. glabra as the research object, the contents of C, N and P in the stems and leaves of S. glabra at different growth periods were determined, and the content variation characteristics and stoichiometric characteristics of C, N and P were analyzed to determine the limiting nutrients of S. glabra. The content of carbon, nitrogen, and phosphorus in the leaves was 531.45-614.66, 16.81-18.51 and 0.41-0.84 g/kg, respectively, and the coefficient of variation was 5.13%, 3.60% and 21.29%, respectively; the content of carbon, nitrogen, and phosphorus in the stems was 547.11-610.11, 5.88-6.91 and 0.33-0.50 g/kg, respectively, and the coefficient of variation was 3.77%, 5.21% and 13.67%, respectively. C/N, C/P and N/P in leaves were 29.33-34.02, 661.40-1311.30, and 20.34-44.71, respectively, and those in stems were 84.96-100.23, 1189.74-1695.71, and 14.03-18.48, respectively. There was a negative correlation between N and P in leaves; a very significantly negative correlation between P and C/P, as well as between P and N/P; and an extremely and significantly positive correlation between C/P and N/P. There was a positive correlation between N and P in stems; a significantly negative correlation between P and N/P; a very significantly negative correlation between P and C/P; and a significantly positive correlation between C/P and N/P. In summary, the growth of S. glabra is mainly restricted by the content of N and P, and to a great extent by the content of P. Therefore, when planting S. glabra under forests, the nutrient supply capacity of the forest land should be considered, and the application of nitrogen and phosphorus mixed fertilizers is conducive to the absorption and utilization of nutrients by S. glabra to achieve the purpose of improving yield and quality.
