Abstract:

Based on main agronomic traits of 212 materials of the national wheat regional trial in the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River Valley from 2012 to 2021, the evolution law of the traits was analyzed. The results showed that the wheat yield and the number of grains per spike decreased first and then increased as the time went on, the number of effective spikes decreased significantly, 1000-grain weight and plant height continued to increase, and the duration remained basically stable. In the future, on the basis of maintaining the current yield structure in the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River Valley wheat region, 1000-grain weight should be increased, the number of grains per spike should be appropriately reduced, and early-maturing varieties should be cultivated, which will be more conducive to improving the yield in this wheat region.
