Abstract:

The objective of this study is to clarify the distribution and damage of cucumber green mottle mosaic virus (CGMMV) on cucumber in Shouguang, and provide reference for the production of high-quality cucumber. In this study, cucumbers from different areas of Shouguang, and of different varieties, growing time and growth periods from 2017 to 2018 were systematically investigated, and the distribution and damage of CGMMV on cucumber were analyzed. The investigation showed that all the 10 towns surveyed were affected by CGMMV to varying degrees, among which Daotian Town had the highest CGMMV incidence, with an incidence rate of 49.64%. The damage on light cucumber was higher than that on spiny cucumber. The high incidence of the virus in the whole year was concentrated in May to August, with the highest incidence rate of 63.33% in June. The most seriously affected growth period was mature period. Apart from the difference in the resistance of varieties, factors such as temperature, humidity and management mode were conducive to the occurrence and prevalence of CGMMV. Therefore, reasonable cooling and strengthening management can reduce the damage of CGMMV.
