Abstract:

In this paper, we compared the effects of phenotypic difference of different rootstocks, grafting methods and grafting leaf age under low temperature treatment on the survival rate of grafting, aiming to provide a basis for screening low-temperature tolerant rootstocks and optimizing the grafting system of pepper. The results showed that wild eggplant S2 had a high tolerance to low temperature and could be used as a low temperature tolerant rootstock for pepper grafting. The highest survival rate of grafting was achieved by the splitting method when the rootstock was two-leafed and the scion was three-leafed. The results of the study can be a practical basis for improving the low-temperature tolerance of pepper plants in early spring and post-autumn facility cultivation.
