Cranberry Industry Development in China and Analysis of Its International Competitiveness

Abstract

Abstract:

The study aims to clarify the development trend and international competitive position of cranberry industry in China, and further realize the targeted improvement of its international competitiveness. The development status of China's cranberry industry was deeply analyzed from the aspects of production scale, industrial structure, yield level, policy environment, and development bottlenecks. Meanwhile, the international market share, trade competitiveness index, export price index, display comparative advantage index and other evaluation indexes were adopted to evaluate the international competitiveness of cranberry industry in China using the entropy method. The results show that: compared with the world's major cranberry exporting countries, the international competitiveness of cranberry industry in China is relatively weak, but its export price index is significantly higher than that of these countries, and the export quality has a comparative advantage. Based on this, relevant countermeasures and suggestions are put forward from aspects of scale expansion, technological innovation, talent training, and market development, so as to provide a reference for improving the international competitiveness of China's cranberry industry.
