Abstract: The effect of different kinds of plant growth regulator on the growth and development of cotton was studied in 2003 and 2004. The results show: The promoting effect of GGR is better than Penshibao and Lufeng-95 and less than rhizogenic powder ABT4. GGR can promote the development of cotton roots like rhizogenic powder. It can also help seedling height, the number of lateral roots, root dry weight, boll weight and boll number per plant.
