Abstract:

The pollen viability of Glehnia littoralis was studied by pollen germination method in vitra .The results are as follows: The period having the highest germination rate of pollens, which was 89.7%, was the initial bloom stage of Glehnia littoralis. When the temperature was 25 ℃, the most appropriate culture medium of pollen germination was the medium with 0. 6% agar , 10% sucrose and 0. 1% boric acid. The life-span of pollens of Glehnia littoralis could be prolonged, when they were at low temperature (4℃) .And pollens may be short-term stored at this temperature.
