Abstract:

Endogenous rural tourism has been a form of self-oriented and farmer-participated tourism and an important way for farmers to make theirs earnings with a key attraction of rural surroundings. But there have been existed some problems, the worse environment, destroyed rural surroundings, increasing social contradiction, development stagnation produced by several-year-development endogenous rural tourism. This paper used a case study to the rural tourism development of Taohualing Village, Changsha, semi-investigated 40 operators and managers, found that the evolution of endogenous rural tourism could be divided into exploration period, development period and fixed period or stagnation period, and market need, policy creation and technology creation were three key factors of endogenous rural tourism, exogenous development and endogenous development thinking should be considered together to get out of the dilemma of endogenous rural tourism.
