Abstract: In order to solve the problems of the whole sorghum chain in China, by analyzing the role of sorghum industry to the national economy and social development, and dissect the problem of the sorghum industry engineering research. Further, explored the study measures, targeted propose seven countermeasures: sorghum germplasm collection, preservation; sorghum breeding germplasm resources innovation; dedicated new varieties of sorghum breeding. The high yield, quality, efficient cultivation techniques were integrated innovation. The comprehensive insect pest prevention and control technology research, improve the technology extension service system. The sorghum deep processing and utilization of technology research are aimed to promote the rapid, sustained and healthy development of the sorghum industry in China.
