Abstract: In order to study the differences of ‘Caozhou’ Chaenomeles speciosa’s different cultivation types and specific pollen viabilities, isolated culture was used in the experiment to test pollen viability of ten ‘Caozhou’ Chaenomeles speciosa, to explore the differences of pollen viability among different kinds and sexual distinction. The results showed that, there were some differences among different kinds of ‘Caozhou’ Chaenomeles speciosa’s pollen germination speed. The best time to test pollen viabilities of ‘Yulan’, ‘Shenghua’, ‘Xipi’, ‘Douqing’, ‘Changqing’, ‘Xiaoshizitou’, ‘dwarf’ was cultivating three hours, and best time to test pollen viabilities of ‘Fomian’, ‘Dashizitou’ and ‘pear-shaped’ was cultivating six hours. There were no significant affects on pollen viability of Bisexual flowers and abortive. But the differences of pollen viability among different species and cultivars were significant. The pollen viability of ‘Caozhou’ Chaenomeles speciosa was better, the average germination rate was eighty percent. The lowest germination rate was 42.9%, and the highest germination rate was 86.1%.
