Research Progress of Transgenic Maize in Molecular Farming

Abstract: Plant transgenic technology is a novel way in crop genetic improvement. In recent years, with the diversification and maturation of plant bioreactor technology, taking maize as molecular plants to synthesize high-value molecules becomes the focus of research. In this article, we look at the plant reactor of corn for the production of sugar, essential amino acid, unsaturated fatty acid, vitamin, trace element, enzyme, vaccine, antibodie and other high value molecule metabolites. It would be helpful for scientists who are working on this field.
