Abstract:
In order to study the effects of nitrogen at bloom time on flowering, and to provide a theoretical basis for flowering regulation, the effects of nitrogen application at bloom time on endogenous hormone content and hormone ratio of Bormeliaceae were investigated. The results showed that: nitrogen application at bloom time decreased the contents of zeatin nucleotides (ZRs) and abscisic acid (ABA), increased the contents of gibberellins (GAs) in leaves and roots of Bormeliaceae, but has the less influence on the contents of auxins (IAA), resulting in the decrease of ABA/IAA, ABA/GAs, ZRs/GAs and ZRs/IAA ratio in leaves and roots. At the same time, the flower bud differentiation rate and the quality of flower decreased, and the flowering date was delayed. The results suggest that nitrogen application at bloom time can decrease the flower forcing effect by influence the endogenous hormone content and the balance of hormone ratio.
