Abstract: The research of rural homestead consolidation potential can provide a basis for estimating regional land resource potential. The author selected Maoershan Town in Heilongjiang Province as the study area, complex investigations and household survey were combined, the consolidation potential of rural homestead in the study area was calculated by the vacancy rates, the rural homestead consolidation potential influencing factors index system was built from individual variable characteristics, family characteristics variables and the variables of economic and policy. The logistic binary regression model was used to analyze the main influencing factor of homestead consolidation potential in the study area. The results showed that: there was great potential for consolidation of rural homestead in the study area, approximately 13% of the homestead could be organized; the main factors that influenced homestead consolidation in the study area focused on household characteristic variables and the variables of economic and policy, the impact of personal characteristic variables was relatively small. Rural homestead consolidation had strong feasibility, which could provide important reference for the potential exploitation of rural construction land and the intensive use of construction land.
