Abstract: This paper aims to study the introduction adaptability of three ornamental bamboos (B. ventricosa f. kimmei 、Pleioblastus kongosanensis.fau-reostriatus and Sasaella glabra(Nakai)Nakai ex Koidz.) in changsha area. the diurnal variation of photosynthesis were measured in different months for one year . The results showed that: The light value of net photosynthetic rate of three ornamental bamboos was significantly different from month to month(P<0.01). In July, the diurnal change of net photosynthetic rate in Pn value of 3 ornamental bamboo species was double-peak type and the light value of net photosynthetic rate was the highest. July is an important period for the growth of three ornamental bamboos. The diurnal change of net photosynthetic rate ( Pn) of 3 ornamental bamboo ware a one-peak curve in the other three months and the light value of net photosynthetic rate was the lowest in January . the photosynthesis of 3 ornamental bamboo in in January was inhibited. The growth status of the B.ventricosa f.kimmei is better than that of the other two ornamental bamboos.According to correlation analysis, the net photosynthetic rate was affected by stomatal conductance, intercellular CO2 concentration, transpiration rate, photosynthetic effective radiation, air CO2 concentration, air temperature and atmospheric relative humidity. The main factors influencing net photosynthetic rate of different bamboo species in different months were obtained by multiple regression analysis. According to the results of the experiment: In changsha or similar environment areas, prefential introduction opportunities shouid be given to B.ventricosa f.kimmei. Once the growth of three ornamental bamboos was stressed in different months, they were raised scientifically.
