Abstract:

To establish a safe cold storage system for strawberry ramets, the strawberry variety ‘Ning Yu’ was used as material. The effects of low temperature on the physiological indexes such as the contents of chlorophyll, SOD, POD, MDA, soluble sugar, proline and endogenous hormones, phenological phase and yield were measured. The results showed that under the low temperature, the contents of chlorophyll a, chlorophyll b and soluble sugar, the ratio of chlorophyll a/b, SOD activity and the soluble sugar were decreased, however POD activity was increased. After the treatment of 21 days, the decreased range of chlorophyll a content was 0.28 mg/g, SOD was decreased by 46.5%, while POD was increased by 428.73%. The content of proline was increased quickly on the 3 rd day of treatment, and then decreased gradually. MDA content showed a descending trend as a whole. GA3 and IAA were decreased first and then increased, but the content of ABA was increased rapidly first and then decreased, reaching valley and peak respectively at the 8th day of the treatment. In addition, within 8 days of low temperature storage, the phenological phase of strawberry was ahead of schedule, and the early-period yield was increased. In summary, under the storage condition of 5℃ low temperature, the strawberry ramets can be safely stored for 8 days, and early-mature and stable production could be achieved.
