Abstract:

To quantitatively analyze the agronomic traits and adaptability of new summer millet varieties from different ecological areas in Luzhong, the authors carried out a field experiment of variety comparison in 2017-2018 summer growing seasons. Based on field test data, the adaptability evaluation of 16 millet varieties was conducted with grey multidimensional comprehensive membership grade method. The results showed that the varieties belonging to the excellent grade were ‘Yugu 32’, ‘Jibaimi 1’, and ‘Jinuomi 2’, the varieties belonging to the good grade were ‘Yugu 18’, ‘Jigu 22’, ‘Jigu 19’, ‘Jigu 20’ and ‘Jigu 21’, the varieties belonging to the general grade were ‘Zhonggu 2’, ‘Jigu 17’, ‘Baogu 23’, ‘Canggu 9’, ‘Yugu 31’ and ‘Jigu 39’, and the varieties belonging to the poor grade were ‘Zhonggu 7’ and ‘Jigu 42’. The study indicates that ‘Yugu 32’, ‘Jibaimi 1’ and ‘Jinuomi 2’ have good adaptability in Luzhong and could be cultivated in large area.
