Abstract:

To explore the differences of agronomic characters and medicinal effective components of Polygonatum cyrtonema from different areas of Zhejiang Province, and to provide basic data for the breeding of P. cyrtonema, the agronomic characters of red and green stem P. cyrtonema were firstly compared. Subsequently, the chemical substances of P. cyrtonema rhizome were analyzed by LC-MS and compared with NIST 11 database combined with principal component analysis. The results showed that the difference of plant height, stem diameter, leaf width and leaf area of P. cyrtonema from different provenances were extremely significant; 22 compounds were identified in 12 P. cyrtonema samples, and there were significant differences in VIP values of chemical components and metabolites between the two germplasms. The place of origin and environment of P. cyrtonema not only affect the apparent properties of plants, but also influence the formation and accumulation of its chemical substances. Thus, the agronomic properties and medicinal active components of P. cyrtonema with red stem are better than those with green stem, and the results can provide a theoretical basis for P. cyrtonema breeding and industry promotion in Zhejiang.
