Abstract:

To provide references for the utilization and resistance breeding of Myrica resources, 112 Myrica germplasm resources in Linhai were used for studying their resistance to twig blight disease by natural infection in field condition. The results showed that 112 Myrica germplasm resources were susceptible to twig blight disease in different degrees, among which, 29 showed high resistance and resistance, accounting for 25.89%. The resistance of Myrica germplasm resources to twig blight disease was significantly different among the four species. Myrica esculenta species showed high resistance and resistance to twig blight disease, followed by Myrica rubra species, which had 25.23% germplasms of high resistance and resistance. Myrica cerifera species had 50% tolerant and 50% moderate susceptible germplasms, respectively. And the resistance of Myrica nana species was the weakest, showing high sensitivity. The susceptibility of male and female Myrica plants to twig blight disease was also different, the resistance of male plants was better than that of female plants.
