Resistant inheritance and agronomic characters of bar- transgenic wheat

Abstract: 【OBJECTIVE】The hereditary behavior of bar gene in T1 and T2 generated by self-fertilization of bar-transgenic wheats-wanmai48 and ymai87158 was studied. Effects on agronomic traits of bar gene were also researched.【METHOD】The hereditary behavior of bar in T1 and T2 was analyzed by leaf-staining and PCR. Comparison of main agronomic traits such as yields,quality between transgenic plants and controls was performed.【RESULTS】Results indicated that bar gene was integrated into wheat genome of T1 and T2 ,and bar gene expressed stably. Separation of bar gene in T1 and T2 complied with Mendel's law. Agronomic traits of yields and quality have no notable differences between bar-transgenic wheat and controls.
