Abstract: As the request of people to the quality of vegetables improving, the heavy metals pollution on vegetables causes much concern gradually. This paper presents study progress on the aspect. The main contents are: (1) the present situation of heavy metal pollution on vegetables; (2) the regularity of vegetables absorbing and accumulating heavy metal; (3) the influence of heavy metal pollution over growth of vegetables; (4) the methods and countermeasures of controlling heavy metal pollution on vegetables. The purpose of the review is to provide reference and experience for improving quality of vegetables grown in soils with heavy metals pollution.
