Abstract: Abstract:Based on the co-evolution between chemical defence of plant and behavior of phytophgous insects, the interference control effects of alcohol extracts of nine kinds of non-crucifer vegetables on Artogeia rapae were studied in this paper. The results showed that the extracts of the nine non-crucifer vegetables had significant effects of repelling adults and deterring egg laying, but had no evident effects of causing death by toxicity on egg and small larva of Artogeia rapae. Among the non-crucifer vegetables, crowndaisy chrysanthemum, garlic and tomato had the most significant control effects on the population of Artogeia rapae and their interference indices of population control(IIPC) were0.0965、0.1166 and0.0557 respectively. It meant that their control effects reached 90.35%、88.34% and 94.43% respectively.
