Abstract:

The purpose of this study is to analyze the spatiotemporal extension and driving force of idle rural housing land in Wendeng county. Methods of documentation, investigation and statistics technology are employed. The results indicate that the main character of idle housing land extension is punctuate from 1990 to1996. however, it changed into area forms from 1996 to 2006.The conclusion of the study is that population decrease, economy development and policy restriction are the driving forces of idle rural housing land extension.
