Abstract:

Abstract: To study the drug resistance of Staphylococcus aureus from animals, the S. aureus were isolated and identified from four clinical samples which were collected from the pet hospitals in Qingdao, Jinan, Yangzhou and a chicken farm in Pingdu with S. aureus color culture medium. The drug resistance of S. aureus analysis was carried out by mini-broth dilution susceptibility test. The results showed that the isolating rates of S. aureu from the pet dogs in Qingdao, Jinan, Yangzhou and the chicken in Pingdu were 8.2%, 9.5%, 5.8% and 3.3%, respectively. The drug resistance rates of S. aureus strains isolated from pet clinical samples to oxacillin sodium, cefazolin sodium, ceftriaxone sodium, ampicillin sodium, amoxicillin and clavulanate potassium, gentamycin and amikacin were low relatively. The resistance rates of S. aureus strains isolated from pet clinical samples to sulfamethoxazole sodium, lincomycin, benzylpenicillin sotassium, erythromycin thiocyanate, tilmicosin phosphate were more than sixty-eight percent. In the other hands, the resistance rates of S. aureus strains isolated from chicken to gentamycin, amikacin were 25.0%, 25.0%, respectively. It showed that the isolating rate of strains from chicken was lower than that from the dog pets, On the contrary, the drug resistance of S. aureus strains was higher.
