Application and Research Progress of Edible Fungi Cultivation with Sugarcane Bagasse

Abstract: Because of the delicious taste, edible fungi have high quantities of proteins, carbohydrates, minerals and vitamins as well as low fat. Researches on edible fungi cultivation with sugarcane bagasse can not only solve the problems of raw materials shortage, high costs and environmental damage, but also achieve the comprehensive utilization of sugarcane bagasse. The authors reviewed the reports on edible fungi cultivation with sugarcane bagasse at home and abroad and analyzed the technology and its application. The research prospects were also outlined in order to provide reference for the development of edible fungi industry.
