Effect of Seedling Number on Group Structure and Economic Characteristics of‘Wen Yi No.2’

Abstract

Abstract: The authors studied the effect of seedling number on group structure and economic characteristics of ‘Wen Yi No.2’to explore the optimum number of seedling. The indexes of group structure and economic characteristics were measured by the methods of field investigation and indoor weighing. The results showed that the effect of seedling number on tiller number, branch number, effective branch number, effective panicle number per plant was significant, which decreased with the increase of seedling number; total grain number, filled grain number and grain weight per plant decreased with the increase of seedling number; the earbearing tiller percentage of‘Wen Yi No.2’was 88.48% when the seedling number was 6 plant/pond, and the thousand-grain weight was 107.24 g, the yield was 5363.33 kg/hm2, the performance was better than other treatments. Different seedling numbers had significant effects on group structure and economic characteristics of‘Wen Yi No.2’, and 6 plant/pond was the best seedling number.
