Development and Reproduction of Callosobruchus chinensis in Different Kinds of Beans

Abstract: Provide theoretical support for the comprehensive control Callosobruchus chinensis, the influence of six kinds of beans to the development and reproduction of C. chinensis was studied in laboratory under the temperature of 28±2℃. The results showed that the larvae of C. chinensis only could feed on the Vigna radiate, Vigna angularis and Glycine max. The developmental period of C. chinensis from egg to adult (immature stage) on the three kinds of beans were 26.50、29.90 and 52.00 days successively. The survival rates on V. radiate, V. angularis and G. max were 52.11%、56.45% and 1.60% respectively. These adults oviposition period on different bean species no significant difference(p >0.05). But the female adult spawning quantity differences in different bean species (P<0.05). Comprehensive test results, the development and breeding of C. chinensis significantly influenced by bean species.
