Abstract:

Evaluation of spatial heterogeneity of soil nutrients and pH value forms a basis for the management of soil nutrients and fertilization in Macadamia ternifolia orchard in Karst region of southwest Guangxi. In the paper, the spatial heterogenity of soil nutrients and pH value in M. ternifolia orchard was evaluated using classical statistics and geostatistics. The results indicated rich soil organic carbon and poor total phosphours in the study area, the variation coefficients of four soil nutrient indicators ranged from 7.14% to 33.92%, belonged to moderate variability. The pH value and soil nutrients were characterized by strong spatial autocorrelation, the largest spatial autocorrelation distance was organic carbon, the smallest was total phosphorus.
