Abstract:

The paper aims to explore the interspecific association of herbaceous communities in Qinling Mountains. Based on 60 field samples, we studied the interspecific association of 30 herbs in Huangfengshan, Zuitou, Taibai by χ 2-test, association coefficient (AC), Ochiai index (OI) and so on. The results showed that: among 435 pairs of plant species, there were 301 significant negative correlations in the AC results; the OI results showed that the species pairs of weak association (0≤OI<0.5) was 5.80 times that of strong association (0.5≤OI≤1); the χ 2-test results showed that the pairs of negative and non-correlated species accounted for 21.15% and 76.78% of the total species pairs, respectively. In summary, the herbaceous species in this area are highly independent, the community as a whole is in an unstable state, and is still in the succession stage.
