Cultivated Land in Xinyi of Jiangsu: Spatial Differentiation of Productivity and Protection Zoning

Abstract: Based on the evaluation of the cultivated land productivity in Xinyi, we analyzed the spatial distribution pattern of cultivated land productivity in Xinyi combined with the spatial autocorrelation method, and proposed the protection zoning method of cultivated land. The results showed that: (1) the cultivated land productivity system from the aspects of climatic, natural factors and technical level had the applicability to the comprehensive output and effect evaluation of cultivated land; (2) the cultivated land productivity in Xinyi showed obvious regional differences, with strong spatial positive autocorrelation, and the positive correlation types (HH type and LL type) appeared in groups, the negative correlation types (LH type and HL type) were scattered; (3) the spatial differentiation characteristics were closely related to the spatial scale; the local spatial autocorrelation differentiation at large scales was small, but the spatial autocorrelation distribution patterns at different scales had similarities; (4) combined with spatial autocorrelation analysis at different scales, we proposed the cultivated land protection zoning to provide reference for the cultivated land protection in the study area.
