Abstract:

To screen the superior germplasms of Camellia oleifera at the Dabie Mountain of eastern Hubei, an investigation of 28 individuals of C. oleifera seedlings was conducted in Hong’an, Macheng, Qichun of Hubei. Main economic characters such as crown yield, single fruit weight, fruit diameter, fruit shape index, the ratio of seed to fresh fruit, the ratio of dry seed to fresh fruit, the oil rate of dry kernel and fatty acid composition were determined and analyzed. 12 major economic characters such as crown yield, single fruit weight, the ratio of dry seed to fresh fruit, the oil rate of dry kernel, oleic acid, linoleic acid were selected for fuzzy comprehensive evaluation. According to relevant standards of breeding techniques of C. oleifera, HQ-3, MF-46 and QY-105 were screened as superior individuals, whose average membership degree was 0.82639, 0.80718, and 0.80524, respectively, higher than that of other individuals. The crown yield, the ratio of seed to fresh fruit, the oil rate of dry kernel, oleic acid and linoleic acid content of the three individuals all met the requirements of the national standard Oil Tea Excellent Variety Breeding Technology, and could be developed and utilized as superior individuals.

Key words: Camellia oleifera, superior individual, economic character, average value of membership, fuzzy comprehensive evaluation
