Abstract:

Newcastle disease virus (NDV) belongs to avian paramyxovirus-1 (APMV-1) strain of Rubulavirus family Paramyxoviridae. NDV is an acute, thermal, septic and highly contact infectious disease. NDV selectively kills tumor cells by oncolytic action, inducing apoptosis of tumor cells and secreting cytokines. At present, although traditional treatment modes such as surgery, chemotherapy and radiotherapy can effectively treat some tumors, they cannot completely reduce the recurrence rate and mortality rate of tumors. In this paper, the general situation of NDV and its anti-tumor mechanism such as oncolytic action and anti-tumor adjuvant action were reviewed.
