Abstract:

This paper aims to make a comprehensive evaluation on the area adaptation of colored-leaf tree species introduced to the Huai’an section of Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal. 16 introduced colored-leaf tree species were selected as the research objects. The author established a comprehensive evaluation model based on analytic hierarchy process (AHP). The results showed that leaf color, color duration and hot resistance were significant factors in the comprehensive evaluation system. According to the scores, the 16 colored-leaf tree species were divided into four grades: 5 species, such as Acer negundo ‘Aurea’ and Liquidambar styraciflua, had the highest introduction value; 5 species, such as Acer×freemanii and Acer rubrum, had relatively high introduction value; 4 species, such as Quercus nuttallii Palmer, had a common introduction value, and the rest 2 species, such as Quercus phellos, had relatively low application value. The study is of certain significance to the further introduction and domestication of colored-leaf tree species in Huai’an. At the same time, it also provides basic reference for landscape architecture in other cities.
