Abstract:

In response to the increasing resistance level of the Tuta absoluta to chemical insecticides, and to promote the development of green control agents and measures, this paper systematically reviewed the domestic and international research progress on the olfactory communication of Tuta absoluta and its control via olfactory regulation. Meanwhile, prospects for future research on the olfactory communication of Tuta absoluta were put forward. This work aims to provide a reference for the development of green control strategies based on the behavioral regulation of insect olfactory perception, and to offer new insights for achieving simultaneous control of both male and female Tuta absoluta moths.
