Abstract:

In order to study the effect of different substrate on the cutting growth of Camellia japonica, four different substrate S1 (river sand), S2 (yellow soil), S3(yellow soil: river sand =1:1) and S4 (yellow soil: river sand =2:1) were selected for cutting contrast test. The results showed that: the effect of S4 on cutting rooting was best, which had great fresh weight and biomass, and the average fresh weight reached 2.41 g/plant; S2 was best for growing of cutting seedlings, and it had great dry weight, the average reached 0.95 g/plant. Therefore, the suitable substrate for cutting of Camellia japonica was S4, followed by substrate S2, and they are suggested in production application.
