Abstract:

To improve the quality of soil and radish, appropriate soil conditioner and its application amount were studied, and the effects of Jiabowen soil conditioner on the yield and quality of radish and soil physical and chemical properties were explored by taking no soil conditioner as the control. The results showed that the application of Jiabowen soil conditioner could increase the yield, single root weight and good fruit rate of radish, and reduce the incidence rate of radish nematodes. The sugar content, alkalinity and color of radish pulp were improved by the conditioner. The soil organic matter, pH, alkali-hydrolyzed nitrogen, available phosphorus and available potassium were increased. The number of soil bacteria, fungi and actinomycetes were increased too. The bulk density of soil was reduced, and the formation of water stable aggregates was improved. Therefore, the application of Jiabowen soil conditioner can increase radish yield, improve radish quality and soil structure, and enhance soil fertility and microbial diversity. The best application amount of Jiabowen soil conditioner is 4800 kg/hm2.
