Abstract:

The purpose of this study is to explore what kind of planting scale and investment ratio of plant factory can bring considerable benefits to investors, and provide quantitative reference for the promotion and development of plant factory industry. Based on the analysis of the actual project investment cost, operation and maintenance cost of the established plant factory, five indexes of a system for plant factory construction, including construction cost, operation and maintenance cost, light and energy utilization rate, yield per unit area and internal rate of return, were selected. Relevant construction scales of the plant factory at home and abroad were analyzed. The optimized scheme for plant factory construction of different planting scales was explored, the index expansion method was used to make cost-benefit estimates and corrections for plant factories of different planting scales under ideal conditions, and the entropy-TOPSIS model was adopted to further calculate the results and select the optimal planting scale. According to the normalized closeness calculated by the entropy-TOPSIS model on the estimated data, the planting area of 3000 m2 is the closest to the optimal solution. It further shows that the benefits of plant factory are not in accordance with the increase of the planting area, it is mainly related to the fixed asset investment ratio of the actual planting scheme and the operation and construction plan.
