The Ecological, Economic Effects and Comprehensive Evaluation on the Multi-crop Patterns of Corn in the Paddy Field

Abstract: Screening suitable multi-cropping patterns of corn in the paddy field in the southern China, it can resolve the contradiction of deficiency of corn in the South by extending the suitable pattern, and get the best comprehensive effect as well. The author continually researches the different multi-cropping patterns in the experimental field of JXAU from 1998 to 2005. In this paper, the yield, energy flow, material flow, economic efficiency, ecological efficiency of the different multi-cropping patterns of corn in the paddy field have been analyzed, as a result, treatment F (Chinese milk vetch-spring corn intercropping early soybean-late rice) has the highest yield, it reaches 15918 kg/hm2. Firstly, screen all of the targets which have been analyzed in the paper by using principal component analysis (PCA), then determine the weight of various targets by using analytic hierarchy process(AHP), finally, do the comprehensive evaluation for ecological, economic and social benefits by using comprehensive index method, it indicates that the treatment F(Chinese milk vetch-spring corn intercropping early soybean-late rice)is the best, and the comprehensive evaluation index is 0.9416, it can be applied widely in the two-crop paddy fields in the southern China.
