Review on Continuous Cropping Obstacle in Vegetable Crops

Abstract

Abstract: The continuous cropping obstacle of vegetable crops is an important problem in vegetable production. By means of review to the relative research paper in continuous cropping obstacle of vegetable crops, the aim of this paper is to supply information to the research and application in this field. A lot of research results showed that the main causes of continuous cropping obstacle are accumulation of harmful microbes, salinization of soil, auto-toxicity of vegetable crops etc. Many research results showed that the continuous cropping obstacle could be resolved completely or partly by means of crop rotation, intercrop, bio-control, using resistant varieties, grafting, and organic fertilizer etc.
