Abstract: Took the Ixora chinensis as the material, determined the content of chlorophyll, MDA, soluble protein and soluble sugar content and other physiological indicators in leaves at different stages of bud development, and analyzed their variation with the development of bud. The results showed that: with the flower bud growth, the content of soluble sugar and soluble protein in Ixora chinensis leaves declined; while MDA in leaves rised; the amounts of chlorophyll increased first and then decreased with a maximum value of soluble sugar. Through the study of physiological and biochemical changes during bud development, to reveal the internal rule of flower senescence in Ixora chinensis, and provide the theoretical basis for the physiology of flowering and the florescence control of Ixora chinensis.
