Abstract: The analysis of application status of new media in Chinese agricultural kernel periodicals can provide the guideline for the development strategy of agricultural technical periodicals under the new media environment. The data of the application of new media in agricultural kernel periodicals was analyzed and the impact factor of above mentioned periodicals were derived from China Journal Citation Reports in 2015. The feature of dispersion was presented in the application of new media in Chinese agricultural kernel periodicals in general. Meanwhile, the difference of application of new media between different discipline existed. In the same category, the impact factor of agricultural kernel periodicals with application of new media was higher than that of one without application of new media. The application of new media techniques would broaden the present research on the application of new media technique and provide support for the development of strategy research of the application of new media technique. The application of new media techniques could improve the influence of agricultural kernel periodicals and become main means for increasing influence of periodicals in future.
