Abstract: Regional land use change directly influences ecosystem function of land system, and the transformation of ecosystem service value would lead to land vulnerability. The author aimed at assessing the response mechanism of land system vulnerability by net carbon emission. Through the analysis of carbon emissions and carbon stock fluctuation caused by the land use change (including cultivated land, forest land, garden plot, construction land and other land) in Yingjing, the author obtained the variation tendency of net carbon emissions in the study area. The results showed that: (1) the net carbon emission of land system of Yingjing showed an increasing trend; (2) the increasing carbon emissions was mainly due to fossil fuel consumption; (3) the land system vulnerability of Yingjing increased during 1997 to 2011. Carbon emissions could be decreased in the study area by the methods of adjusting industrial structure rationally, optimizing the land resource distribution, developing clean energy and improving the energy structure, meanwhile, carbon stock could be improved by developing ecological agriculture and ecological tourism .
