Farmland Productivity Evaluation Based on GIS in Tuliemaodu Farm

Abstract: GIS technology was adopted and evaluation unit was divided after the superposition of present land use map and soil map in Tuliemaodu farm based on the data from farmland fertility survey analysis, the evaluation factors were determined, hierarchy model and membership function model were established by the method of analytic hierarchy process and fuzzy evaluation method, the weights of the evaluation factors were determined and the final fertility grade was achieved. The results showed that the overall farmland level was relatively good in Tuliemaodu farm, the farmland was divided into five levels, the first-class land area was 962.18 hm2, which occupied 7.65% of the total farmland area; the second-class land area was 3422.18 hm2, occupied 27.22%; the third-class land area was 3840.56 hm2, occupied 30.55%; the fourth-class land area was 2683.49 hm2, occupied 21.34%; the fifth-class land area was 1664.76 hm2, occupied 13.24%. Descriptive analysis was conducted according to the characteristics of different grades of farmland, the authors pointed out the main problems that existed in the research area and put forward some reasonable utilization and improvement suggestions.
