Isolation and Identification of Endophytic Fungi from Three Commercial Truffles in Sichuan Province

Abstract: The aim of this study was to explore the culturable endophytic fungi community structure and diversity of the commercial truffles from the main producing areas in Sichuan. Fresh truffles were collected from 4 producing plots (Xintian, Xinyun, Tangtang and Xueshan) as experimental materials. PDA medias were used to isolation and culture the endophytic fungi in fruit, then identification the species of isolated by molecular method. Consequently, a total of 21 fungal were separated from Tuber indicum, Tuber pseudoexcavatum and Tuber sinoaestivum, including Trichoderma, Chaetomium, Penicillium, Fusarium and Alternaria. Among them, Trichoderma, Fusarium and Penicillium were the genera with higher abundances. Moreover, the study identification the type of culturable endophytic fungi preliminary from 3 kinds of commercial truffles in Sichuan province , it would greatly contribute to truffle preservation, to cultivation of mycorrhizal seedlings and to mechanism of truffle occurrence. However, the specific principles need to be further explored.
