Abstract:

The purpose is to analyze the development level of urbanization in Henan Province at present stage, and to analyze its advantages and problems, thus to put forward relevant strategies for promoting the sustainable and healthy development of urbanization. Taking the urbanization of Henan Province at the historical transition period as the entry point, using the SWOT analysis method, we clarify the significant advantages of current urbanization construction in history and culture, regional transportation and national policies, and reveal the problems existing in the process of urbanization, including imbalanced urban and rural development, lag in infrastructure construction and industrial development, frequent occurrence of "urban diseases" and the restriction of population quality and resource environment. Based on the analysis, we propose that the urbanization construction in Henan Province should concentrate on four things in the future: using the coordinated development of "new three" to promote the construction of new urbanization; accelerating the integration of urban and rural areas to narrow the gap between urban and rural areas; strengthening ecological environmental protection to pursue the new urbanization of sustainable development; highlighting the improvement of rural population quality to help the transformation and upgrading of urbanization.
