Abstract:

To evaluate plankton community structure and its relationship with environmental factors in Hechuan section of Jialing River, plankton community and environmental factors were investigated and analyzed in spring and summer in 2018. The results showed that, a total of 87 species of phytoplankton belonged to 6 phyla were identified, mainly Bacillariophyla and Chlorophyta; 38 species of zooplankton belonged to 4 classes were identified, mainly Rotifera and Cladocera. The abundance of phytoplankton was 8.71×104-98.95×104 ind./L, and zooplankton was 23.9-417.4 ind./L, the overall biological abundance in summer was higher than that in spring. According to TLI index evaluation, the overall studied water area was medium-severe polluted, and the eutrophication in spring was higher than that in summer. Environmental factors which had significant effect on plankton were temperature, pH and chlorophyll-a, and CODMn only had statistically significant effect on phytoplankton (P<0.05).
