Influencing Factors of Agricultural Technology Extension Efficiency——A Case Study of Pingdu City, Shandong Province

Abstract:

In this study, the agricultural technology extension input-output data of Pingdu City from 2016 to 2020 were selected, and the agricultural technology extension efficiency of Pingdu City in the 5 years was measured by using DEA model. Based on the results, it was concluded that the average agricultural extension efficiency of Pingdu City in the 5 years was 0.905, and the extension efficiency in 2020 was lower than the average value. Problems of low extension efficiency and input redundancy were found in agricultural extension, so we proposed countermeasures to improve the incentive assessment system of agricultural extension personnel. Then, we carried out the satisfaction analysis of agricultural technology extension effects in five towns in Pingdu City, and obtained the results that gender, health status of family labor force, household farming area, total annual household income, and whether agricultural income was transferred to land were important influencing factors. Finally, based on the findings of this study, we put forward suggestions for improving agricultural technology extension from the perspectives of the government, agricultural extension personnel and farm household to provide a basis for agricultural technology extension analysis and research.
