Migration Biology and Stress Response of Coilia nasus: A Review

Abstract:

Coilia nasus, commonly known as tapertail anchovy, belongs to the order of Clupeiformes, the family of Engraulidae, and the genus of Coilia. It is one of the important commercial fishery resources in the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River and related lakes in China. It has delicious taste, superior nutritional value and higher economic value. This paper summarized relevant research on Coilia nasus, including its migratory habits and stress response, and aimed to provide basic information for its resource conservation and industrialization development.
