Abstract:

Evaporation between plants is an important part of field water balance, so accurate estimation of evaporation between plants is of great significance to the efficient utilization of water resource in arid and semi-arid regions. Micro-evaporator is a common method to estimate the evaporation of farmland soil. This paper summarized the application methods of micro-evaporators and their application status on greenhouse crops such as vegetables, wheat, maize etc. The evaporation between plants of different vegetables in greenhouse accounted for about 40% of the total evapotranspiration; the daily evaporation intensity of field crops such as maize and wheat were affected by farming methods, varieties, meteorological factors and plastic film residues in soil. At the same time, current problems existing in the use of the micro-evaporators were pointed out, and how to use the micro-evaporators correctly for ridge tillage crops was discussed. Suggestions were given on further research and application of micro-evaporators.
