Abstract:

This paper aims to reveal the resistance of potato breeding materials to potato dry rot disease and the infection of potato virus disease. Enzyme linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) and Fusarium oxysporum infection were used to identify the virus infection status and dry rot resistance of 38 potato breeding materials. The results showed that the occurrence of potato virus disease in Akmola was complex, and there were multiple virus infections. Among 38 materials, 18 strains and 1 variety material were not infected with potato virus. The resistance identification of Fusarium oxysporum in 18 potato breeding materials, including 1 resistant material, 1 medium resistant material, and the rest not possessing disease resistance. The occurrence of potato virus diseases in the Aklamo region of Kazakhstan was complex, and it was necessary to pay attention to the detoxification of seed potatoes and the prevention and control of virus transmission. Dry rot resistant materials could be used as breeding parent materials.
