Abstract:

In-depth understanding of soil nutrient status and fertility level of tea gardens in Yuhang District can provide scientific basis for soil improvement, precise fertilization and high quality of Jingshan tea production. In this study, the authors carried out field investigation and distribution sampling in 7 towns where Jingshan tea plantation area were concentrated in Yuhang district, collected and analyzed 36 soil samples of Jingshan tea gardens, tested 6 soil fertility indexes including soil pH, organic matter, total nitrogen, alkali-hydrolyzed nitrogen, available phosphorus and available potassium content, then using principal component analysis method and fuzzy mathematics membership function model to carry out numerical comprehensive evaluation of soil nutrient status by calculating the comprehensive index of soil fertility (IFI) in Yuhang district. The results showed that the soil of Jingshan tea gardens had acidification tendency; the contents of organic matter, total nitrogen, alkali-hydrolyzed nitrogen, available phosphorus and available potassium in the soil of tea gardens were abundant, and the average contents reached the Grade I quality standard; 91.7% of the comprehensive soil fertility index of Jingshan tea gardens reached the Grade I quality standard, and 8.3% reached the Grade II standard, indicating that the soil of Jingshan tea gardens are suitable for planting Jingshan camellia trees.
